I take in chinchillas that the owner can no longer care for them. I will make sure they are cared for until they can go to a fantastic permanent home. I understand that sometimes there are situations that are unavoidable and prevent you from keeping your Chin. I am here to help! Even if that means giving ME a call to ask about health care for him or her. There are costs for us to keep the animal here until a new home can be given. All rescue fees apply to those costs alone. Just because we are breeders does not mean we breed every Chinchilla that comes into our care.I keep full records on all of our breeding Chinchilla's.
Please check our Rescues page to see if we have any chinne's needing great homes. We try our hardest to keep our adoption prices low but it all depends on the amount of vet care required.
When you adopt a chin from Me and find yourself in a position where you can no longer care for it, it must be returned to ME!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LEAVE YOUR CHIN WITH US:
We assess the general health of the animal. If it needs vet care we contact our VET right away for an appointment. The chin is kept in minimum of 5 days, even if it is healthy. We keep a list of people interested in our chins and start the process of looking for a home immediately. Potential adopters are notified of the chin. we like people to come by and interact with the chin. Their personalities vary as much as a person and they need to find a forever owner. After the 5 days, given it is healthy enough for rehoming, it is released for adoption.
